Is this a high quality helmet that provides a high level of safety. Does the price difference truly indicate a safety difference between this helmet and others?

The biggest differences in price when it comes to catcher's helmets does not necessarily mean safety levels. Typically all the catcher's helmets will meet the highest safety standards but when the price differs it means that there are usually more additions to the helmet. For instance, in this helmet there is a high quality of padding inside that allows for more comfort and sweat absorption. The helmet is also a matte finish with a stronger cage bar than what Rawlings had before. This is more along the lines of what you will be paying extra for in a catcher's helmet such as this one.
