Suitable for these Positions

The 6-4-3 line from Wilson is the perfect combination of quality and affordability. At a mid-level price point, these gloves carry a great value for the excellent materials and construction. Whether it is a player, coach or parent looking to purchase a new mitt, s/he can rest-assured knowing that a glove from the 6-4-3 line will carry the familiar Wilson quality, at a lower cost.

The 1788 PF is 11.25” in length and ideal for the middle infielder that is looking for a short glove with one of the smallest pockets available. This glove features Wilson’s I-web pattern, which is a shallow, durable design – for a consistent, long-lasting feel in the pocket and quick transitions.

The shell, palm and lacing are composed of Wilson’s Double Play leather. This leather is soft and quick to break-in, but does lack in durability. It will shape to the desired pocket rather quickly, but not lack in longevity when properly taken care of. This glove also features Wilson’s Rolled Dual Welting which takes strips of Pro Stock leather and rolls them as the welting for the glove, creating a long-lasting shape with a quicker break-in period.

The 1788 PF features Wilson’s Pedroia Fit™ which includes: longer laces, a tapered hand opening, shorter & narrower finger stalls and a low-profile heel. This fit is a design based on the preferences of MLB All-Star 2nd baseman Dustin Pedroia, who is a smaller guy with a smaller hand that demands an elite glove to match his level of play. Since the sizing has a smaller hand in mind, it will fit tighter than a standard, adult glove.

The backing for this glove features a conventional, open back with a laced binding. The conventional back allows for extra ventilation, while the laced binding provides a secure and snug fit – keeping the glove in place, even during the toughest plays.

Upon arrival, the 6-4-3 glove is nearly ready to use on the field and will require minimal work from the player before hitting the dirt.

Great glove for 11-15 year old

Bought the glove for a super price. It's a fine quality glove but I can barely squeeze my adult hand 3/4 ways in. Great infield glove for an 11-15 year old or an adult with smaller hands.

Best LL glove out there for the price

My Adult hand would not fit in the Pedroia Fit (PF). But For my 8 and 12 year old sons this glove is a gem. You’re not going to find a better leather at this price. Follow Aso’s 150-170° water and a mallet trick and this thing is game ready next day. If you want to break it in slowly then it’ll take a couple weeks. If you don’t want to pay $150+ to introduce your kid to what it means to break in a glove and have it shape to your hand this is the one.

Great glove

This glove is very high quality, the leather is much better on this then the a1000, but it doesn't quite compare with the a2000. I would recommend this glove especially with the low price tag. Very happy with my purchase.

Good for a young player

The glove broke in very quickly. It took around a week or so and I’ve been using it to play catch with my son. The material is not of high quality but I think it should be used for non gameplay in higher levels but would be great for a young player in little league.

Great glove

Bought this for my son to use. He loves it. Beware if you have big hands, as my hand would not fit in the glove.

GREAT!

I bought this glove for my brother. I used hot water, a mallet, and playing catch and it broke in in a day. Great glove!
